Virtual Mastercard

What is a Virtual Mastercard?

A Virtual Mastercard is a digital-only payment card. It has a unique 16-digit card number, expiry date, and CVV code—just like a physical card—but it lives on your phone or computer rather than in your wallet.

Where can I use my virtual card?

You can use it anywhere Mastercard is accepted online or in-app. If you add it to a mobile wallet like Apple Pay or Google Pay, you can also use it for “tap-to-pay” at physical stores.

Does it work for international payments?

Yes! Your virtual card works globally across the Mastercard network.

Is it safer than a physical card?

Absolutely. Since there is no physical plastic, it can’t be skimmed or stolen. Plus, you can “freeze” the card instantly in the Zipay app if you notice suspicious activity.

 How to Use

  • Viewing Details: Log into your account, go to ‘Cards’, and tap your card. You may need to provide your PIN or biometric ID (FaceID/Fingerprint) to reveal the full number and CVV.
  • Topping Up: Your card is linked directly to your Zipay account. As long as you have funds in your main account, your card is ready to use.
  • Refunds: Refunds work exactly like a physical card; the merchant processes it back to your original account even if the card number has been refreshed.
